His many accolades include being honored as the Pacific Northwest PGA Golf Professional of the Year three times, winning the Pacific Northwest PGA Bill Strausbaugh Award twice, and receiving eight Western Washington Chapter PGA awards. He has received awards for his mentoring, leadership, teaching, merchandising and other aspects of the industry.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Doug was a top player as well. He twice won the Washington PGA Assistant’s Championship (1986, 1988), the 1991 Oregon Open, and the 1992 Washington PGA Championship. He made the Professional Hudson Cup team six times, winning the Larry Lamberger Award in 1999, and captained the team twice. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Doug credits Bill Tindall as his mentor, and in turn has mentored at least 18 assistants who have gone on to become head professionals, general managers, or attain other high-ranking management jobs in the golf industry.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
